Traditional Lipped Casement Window Timber Windows
The Merlin Traditional Timber Window Range is aimed at period new builds and the traditional replacement markets that require historic timber window features. These unique yet traditional designs will suit period and conservation aesthetics and are combined with the high performance and security aspects common throughout the rest of the range.
Traditional styling is retained with slim frame sections, hidden silicone, internal ovolo beading and external putty line mouldings. Bars are available in 16mm (lambs tongue design), 25mm and 35mm with the option of a 48mm solid bar.
Traditional Flush Casement Timber Windows
The Traditional Flush Casement window is an outward opening, period style timber window with a classical flush line appearance. Internal Ovolo mouldings and external putty bead design replicate the aesthetical look of traditional timber windows.
The slim sectioned flush profile is particularly suited to period properties, in areas where specific conservation requirements must be adhered to. Traditional Flush Casement windows are often chosen for stone, brick or rendered properties such as Farm houses, cottages and barn conversions.
The Traditional Sliding Sash window is a vertical sliding design, with a tensioned spring balance, providing a lifting mechanism to operate the window. The Sliding Sash Spiral Balance window incorporates all the traditional features of an original box sash window with a modern method of operation. As a result the box is smaller than a weighted sash windows and are better suited to new buildings although they can be used in replacement situations. The added benefit is that they are more cost effective too!
The Traditional Sliding Sash Window is suitable for installation in conservation areas and is most commonly chosen for prestigious new build mansions or refurbishment properties with a stone or rendered finish.
